Pravesh Mukhi

Clinical Psychotherapy Intern

Pravesh Mukhi is a psychotherapy intern and graduate student at the Townsend Institute of Concordia University Irvine, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. His approach centers on helping clients focus on what is within their control, pursue what they find meaningful, and build a life that reflects their values. He also believes in the importance of humor as part of the healing process.

Pravesh is passionate about helping individuals navigating anxiety and depression. He draws on aspects of several evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and existential therapy, to support each client’s unique goals.

Before pursuing a career in mental health, Pravesh spent five years working at a major consulting firm in New York, partnering with Fortune 500 clients. He brings the communication and problem-solving skills developed in that career into his therapeutic work, helping clients find fulfillment at work, pursue creative interests, and build meaningful relationships.

Outside of sessions, Pravesh enjoys basketball, pickleball, the gym, and Christopher Nolan films.
