Audrey Duncan is a marriage and family therapist (MFT) in training and a graduate student at Northwestern University, earning her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. Within her practice, Audrey uses strength-based and collaborative therapeutic approaches. She hopes to inspire each patient to focus not only on their problems, but also their capacity to create and implement solutions. Overall, her goal is to encourage each patient to feel capable of taking control of their own life.
Audrey earned her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has numerous years of experience working in the field of elementary education. She was inspired to pursue a career in mental health care from her own positive experiences with both family and individual therapy throughout her adolescence. She is motivated by the strength of the various communities around her and by other people’s kindness, creativity, and compassion.
Audrey specializes in treating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and family challenges. She uses an integrative approach, drawing from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention. She works with teens and adults, including women and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
