Christina Catipay, RN, JD, MHA

Christina Catipay, RN, JD, MHA

As Chief Operating Officer at Pacific Mind Health, Christina is responsible for the operations of the entire behavioral health practice throughout all locations. Christina brings almost 20 years of medical group management to Pacific Mind Health having worked most notably from places such as Providence, UCLA Health, and Cleveland Clinic. Christina earned a Masters of Healthcare Administration degree from UNC- Chapel Hill, but in her prior life, she has advocated for the underserved as both an RN and lawyer. Her experience and leadership have been focused on service excellence to patients, program development and operating efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and developing high performing teams. In her spare time, Christina enjoys time with her family and is a competitive tennis player.

Nella Zegarra-Rossel

Nella Zegarra-Rossel

Nella has 6 years of experience working in administration healthcare both in the non-profit and private practice sector. Beginning in a clinical setting adhering to narrative and numerical reporting for all programs. Overseeing the Behavioral Health Department at her previous clinic brought her to find her passion and calling in mental health. At Pacific Mind Health she oversees all departments and staff, giving exceptional care and assistance for any needs. Her empathetic approach gives a personal experience, with heartwarming care and attentive attention.

Marika Forsyth

Billing Manager

Marika Forsyth

Marika has 10 years of experience working in administrative healthcare with an emphasis on handling insurances and also billing/collections. At Pacific Mind Health she oversees TMS authorizations, including appeals with insurance companies. She also assists with insurance inquiries, including checking all verifications for accuracy, informing patients of their coverage, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. On a personal note, she is  a hard-working mommy to a beautiful little girl who inspires her to be the best that she can be.

Caroline Roncalli

TMS Department Coordinator

Caroline Roncalli

Caroline is our TMS Department Coordinator with special focus on marketing and patient-centered care.  Caroline holds her Master’s of Public Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from Cal State University Northridge and has held various leadership positions across settings.  She also has her Bachelor’s in Public Health from Cal State University Los Angeles.  She has a history of marketing and social media experience and has worked as a fundraiser for Greenpeace in Norway.

Rex Calkins

Certified TMS Technician

Rex Calkins

Rex is our certified TMS technician and he is compassionate, non-judgmental, and easy to communicate with. He attended University of California, San Diego and obtained his degree in Environmental Engineering. He is certified in rTMS and Theta Burst Deep Brain Stimulation. Through his training and work, Rex learned that his passion is working with people and helping individuals achieve their goals and dreams and relieve mental anguish and depression. His areas of focus include motivation, goal setting, making difficult decisions, and breaking through barriers.

Khushi Patel

Ketamine Department Coordinator / TMS Technician

Khushi Patel

Khushi is our Esketamine (Spravato) and TMS Technician who is administering these treatments to our Long Beach office patients. She graduated from University of California, Berkeley with her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology: Cell and Developmental Biology and minor in Global Public Health. She has worked in various clinical and program coordinator roles including most recently as a coordinator for a non-profit at UC Berkeley and Healthcare Navigator on UCSF’s COVID Hotline.

Andrea Venderby

Ketamine Department Coordinator

Andrea Venderby

Andrea is our Ketamine Department Coordinator at the Long Beach office, where she plays a pivotal role in patient enrollment and administration of Spravato medication. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Chapman University. Her extensive experience in healthcare and clinical settings includes serving as the Lead Medical Assistant at Forward Health, as well as contributing her skills as a Research Assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and a Medical Scribe at Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital. Andrea is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to those in need, making it a central focus of her professional journey.

Paola Rojas

Paola is a recent graduate from Cal State University Long Beach where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She currently works at Pacific Mind Health as a Patient Care Coordinator. She assists in the New Client Department where she answers general inquiries about our office, assists with administrative tasks, and helps patients connect with the right providers who best fit their needs.

Brianna Orlowski

Brianna works at Pacific Mind Health as an Administrative Support Staff team member. She assists with many office tasks, including completing TMS enrollment forms for new patients, appointment reminders, and answering general patient inquiries. Brianna is currently a second year student at Lake Erie College of Medicine (LECOM) where she is pursuing her degree in osteopathic medicine.

Jennifer Daruca

Jennifer Daruca

Jennifer has four years of experience in the healthcare field assisting pharmacists, physicians, and patients.  She is experienced in the mental health field focusing on customer service and administrative roles. She joined Pacific Mind Health as an administrative support staff imparting her experience and knowledge to back-office assistance specifically on prescription refills, patient appointment scheduling, and any other administrative needs. She is very passionate about her work and ensures tasks are accomplished with a sense of urgency and efficiency.

Ericka Gatmaitan

Ericka is a licensed nurse with more than 10 years of combined working healthcare experience in a hospital, clinic and company setting. She works at Pacific Mind Health as a Clinical Assistant and Eligibility Coordinator. She assists with office tasks, including processing of enrollment forms, insurance verifications and entering appointments of new patients. As a person, she always sees the bright side of things and goes beyond an extra mile in providing quality patient service.

Con is a Pharmacist Technician who has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, clinical, and administrative functions in health care. Con is passionate about attaining excellent quality patient service and care. As appointment and scheduling coordinator, Con’s duties include obtaining patient information, medical histories, conducting insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and coordinating prescriptions refills.

Ana Santos

Ana is a registered nurse with experience in clinical work and three years of experience working as a patient care coordinator. Her skills include managing appointments, recording medical histories, issuing orders, retrieving medical records from different facilities, and medical billing. She is knowledgeable in medical claims submission, AR follow up, and payment collection. Ana is an expert in working with clients and patients. She has extensive experience verifying eligibility and benefits and checking claims status. Ana previously worked for three years as a Network Coordinator and Claims Processor. She enjoys helping patients access care as smoothly as possible.

Kacelyn has ten years experience in the healthcare field assisting providers with different specialties. She’s an experienced Medical Biller doing an end-to-end revenue cycle management from entering member’s information, creating a superbill, submitting a claim, payment posting and account receivable or solving a denied claim. She joined Pacific Mind Health as a Medical Billing & Collections Specialist focusing on creating a superbill, patient’s payment collection and claims follow-up. She possesses a strong desire for career success and a results driven focus.

Dave has seven years experience in the Healthcare field assisting different providers and patients. He is highly experienced in the Healthcare field focusing on medical coverage, claims and appeals. Dave works at Pacific mind health as Eligibility Coordinator and billing specialist. He assists with office tasks including benefit verification for TMS and Spravato claims, billing management, and any administrative needs.

Dinara Managuelod

Dinara is a graduate from De La Salle University – Dasmarinas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations Management Major in Service Management. She has expertise in dealing with different insurance policies. She is our go-to person about insurance coverage and discrepancies. She handles claim resubmissions, referrals and informs the patients benefit through emails and calls for their amount due for each visit. She assists with office inquiries, including ASAP verifications, and other administrative needs if need be. She ensures that patients receive the care they need while minimizing the financial burden in both the patient and healthcare provider.

Rose has three years experience in the healthcare field assisting different providers and patients. She is  experienced  in the healthcare field focusing on medical insurance coverage and claims information. She works at Pacific Mind Health as an Eligibility Coordinator and Billing Specialist.  She assists with office tasks including insurance verification, claims and billing management and any administrative needs. She is currently working on getting her Masters of Science in Biology.

Pria has more than 3 years of experience in the Healthcare industry assisting providers and patients. She is a certified medical billing specialist and HIPAA certified. Pria is well-skilled in Eligibility, Medical Claims, Billings such as Accounts Receivable, Posting Insurance Payments, Processing patient payments, and Prior authorization. She assists with office tasks including insurance verification, claims, and billing management.

Angela Pambuan

Angela is an experienced healthcare professional with extensive healthcare and customer service background. She currently works at Pacific Mind Health as a Billing Specialist. She assists with office tasks including claims denial management, collections and payment posting.  She communicates with insurance carriers on a daily basis for claims follow-up and check/EFT tracking. She proactively discovers trends within claims denials to correct for future clearance.

Karyl is a nurse who has clinical and administrative experience in the health care setting. She has experience in the mental health field specifically in checking-in patients and scheduling. She is also knowledgeable in medical billing, credentialing, contracting, and insurance verification. She joined Pacific Mind Health as a credentialing and contracting support staff to make sure that our providers are all credentialed with all the insurances that we accept.

Leonie brings a trusting vibrant personality to Pacific Mind Spa and enjoys interacting with clients. She prides herself in being supportive and understanding.
