Veronica Calkins is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in trauma, crisis, grief, anxiety, and relationships. She strives to provide an empathetic, caring environment for patients, allowing them to work through challenges without judgement.
Veronica is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family and couples therapy. Veronica is certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and deep-brain theta stimulation. Additionally, she is a pioneer and clinical instructor in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and serves as an expert consultant and supervisor with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Veronica earned her master’s in social welfare and her bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in applied developmental psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Veronica’s experience includes Harbor UCLA, Men and Women’s Jail, Kaiser Permanente, and the Los Angeles County Psychiatric Mobile Response team.
