Assal Tavakoli Parsa is a certified psychiatric physician assistant specializing in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, sleep and panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), psychosis, schizophrenia, women’s reproductive health, and trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Assal provides a mindfulness-based and culturally sensitive environment through a holistic approach, rather than just a clinical one.
Assal earned her master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and her bachelor of science in biology with a minor in healthcare and social issues from University of California, San Diego.
Assal strives to understand each patient’s background, goals, and ambitions in order to create a treatment plan that truly fits their needs. When medication is necessary, she makes sure to work with patients on additional aspects of their lives to support their overall well-being.
