Dr. Jonathan Shaywitz is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of experience caring for adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, schizophrenia, and treatment-resistant mood disorders. He is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals.
Dr. Shaywitz earned his bachelor of arts with honors from Brown University and his doctor of medicine degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at UCLA Medical Center, followed by fellowship training at Columbia University and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), where he focused on psychiatry and affective disorders. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Shaywitz has specialized training in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine therapy. He develops individualized treatment plans using the latest evidence-based approaches in psychopharmacology to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their mental health.
