Shalu Singh is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who takes a collaborative, trauma-informed, and practical approach with the goal of helping patients feel understood. She specializes in depression, anxiety, and trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and strives to develop tools and treatment plans that support lasting, real-world change for her patients.
Shalu was drawn to mental health through years of caring for people during their most vulnerable moments. She is motivated to help patients make sense of their experiences and regain a sense of agency, stability, and self-trust. She does this through a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), ketamine-assisted therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
Shalu earned her masters and bachelors of science in nursing from West Coast University and her bachelor of science in microbiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).
Outside of work, Shalu values exploring new places. She also enjoys quiet routines, such as spending time with her cats and creating calm, grounding spaces. These are small practices that remind her how powerful consistency and nervous-system regulation can be experienced in everyday life.
