Susan Lauing is an associate clinical social worker who specializes in a wide range of mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and grounded in empathy. Susan prioritizes building a safe, trusting relationship, where patients feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered to share their experiences at their own pace. Her goal is to create a supportive, empowering space, where patients can build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and gain confidence to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change.
Susan earned her master’s degree in social work from California State, Long Beach, and her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Riverside.
Susan’s passion for mental health stems from witnessing the impact emotional well-being has on every aspect of life and the importance of compassionate, supportive care. She is dedicated to helping individuals feel heard, reduce stigma, and build resilience and coping skills to support meaningful growth and healing.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys exercise and staying active, which helps her manage stress and maintain balance in her daily life. She also enjoys Disney and Harry Potter, appreciating their themes of resilience, personal growth, and overcoming challenges along the way.
