Yasmine Shahbaz is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in depression, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, addiction, relationship conflicts, suicidal and self-harm ideation, and trauma. She has extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ communities and is strongly rooted in social justice. She uses a culturally informed, patient-centered, progressive approach to compassionately meet patients where they are.

Yasmine earned her master’s in social work from California State University, Long Beach. Yasmine has experience working in various settings, including schools, larger communities (mezzo level), intensive outpatient programs, and partial hospitalization programs.

Yasmine fosters a warm, nurturing, mindful space where patients can empower themselves to overcome life’s many challenges. Within her practice, she uses tools such as acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). She recognizes the importance of understanding the various aspects of an individual’s environment (social, political, familial, spiritual, physical, economic, etc.) in the delivery of quality and integrative mental health care.
